Below is a list of potential funding opportunities available within the Virginia Beach Office of Emergency Management.

* A Severe Repetitive Loss (SRL) Property meets one of the two definitions: 1) Four or more claims filed with the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) totaling $5,000 or more each (building and contents included) OR 2) Two or more claims where the cumulative building claim amount for the loss exceeds the fair market value of the insured building at the time of the loss. A Repetitive Loss (RL) structure is one that has had two or more claims, greater than $1,000 each, in a 10-year period.
** Typically, a property must have experienced over $75,000 in total flood damages in a rolling 10-year period OR have a finished floor elevation of at least 2 ft. below base flood elevation to meet the minimum BCA requirement.
